Michigan State University Rehabilitation: Kneeling Quadratus Lumborum Stretch

Michigan State University Rehabilitation: Kneeling Quadratus Lumborum Stretch

So I’m going to show you the kneeling Quadratus
Lumborum stretch. So you’re starting position is basically on all fours. You’re going to
reach across you’re body, and you’re going to grasp onto the edge of the table. Sometimes,
we do this on the floor and you can grab onto the leg of a table. But you reach across and
you grab. You hold that nice and tight, and you’re going to lean back. You’re going to
sit back towards your left buttock, lengthening your left side. So sit back… To further stretch this quadratus
lumborum, you can actually push your right hand into the pad or the table and push yourself
back even further, and that will extenuate the stretch. Demonstrate it on the other side.
You’re head should be down, so chin to your chest
