Create dependencies between tasks in your Gantt chart

Create dependencies between tasks in your Gantt chart

Hi and welcome to Ganttify In this video, we’re going to show you how
to use the new ‘dependencies’ feature. When you open up a Gantt chart, you see the
‘due dates’ and ‘time blocks’ of your Gantt. Currently, when a task gets delayed, you will
have to manually update all the related tasks. This can become a lot of work quickly if you’re
managing a big project. With the new dependencies feature you can
simply right-click on a time block or due date in the Gantt chart and choose ‘Add dependency’. Choose to click on the left or right side
of the next task to make your first dependency. Once you set up your dependencies, you can
easily update your project schedule. If a task gets delayed, the dependent tasks
will automatically reschedule and everyone stays up to date. If you need to remove a dependency, you can
easily do that as well. All you have to do, like most things in Ganttify,
is use the right-mouse click. Right-click on the dependency line you wish
to remove and left-click on “Remove dependency” from the context menu. Now, you have learned the basics of creating
and removing dependencies.
